DIY Conveyancing and the Conveyancing Fraud

Over the last 20 years there has been a gradual repeal of the conveyancing monopoly thus driving down conveyancing costs.

It used to be the sole domain of the Property Solicitor. The introduction of the internet and freedom of information of advice means that DIY conveyancing is now more possible than ever.

It would not take a person too long learn how to do their own conveyancing. Although the internet, and hopefully this site can help those intending to venture into DIY Conveyancing,

I recommend The Conveyancing Fraud by Michael Joseph (available through Amazon ) as the best book concerning DIY conveyancing (although I disagree with most of his conclusions). And if you do find an insoluble problem I am sure that you will be able to find a Property Solicitor, who, at £200 an hour, will be willing to take on the conveyancing.
