What information can you get from the Land Registry ?

One of the primary functions of Land Registry is to maintain the register of land in England and Wales. The Land registry  has been open to public inspection since December 1990. Any  December of the public can inspect any of the 22 million registers held by the Land Registry and obtain official copies of them and any documents relating to that register – such as a lease or Transfer – that are available as of right under the Land Registration Act 2002 and the Land Registration Act 2003.

Fees are applicable and vary form time to time for this service. Where information is available as of right you to will need to complete the appropriate form under the Land Registration Rules 2003.
