The replies to these last enquiries indicated that there was a main sewer running through the rear garden. Laura had to ask for confirmation that the sellers had not built anything over this, as their replies to the standard information questionnaire stated that there was a rear extension.

Once Laura had received confirmation that nothing had been built over the pipe she was able to complete the certificate of title for the client’s mortgage lender, and agree an exchange of contracts with completion taking place early in February.
