The register of title contained at the Land Registry contains the details relating to the property.
Each title register for a registered property in England and Wales is in three parts:
- property register - a description of the property and any rights that may benefit the property
- proprietorship register - who owns the property and any restrictions upon their power to deal with the property
- charges register - further information such as mortgages or rights that may adversely affect the property
The copy of the title register obtained via this service is not an ‘official copy'. An Official copy of the title register is admissible in evidence in a court to the same extent as the original. A person is entitled to be indemnified by the registrar if he suffers loss by reason of a mistake in an Official copy.
