Corrugated Iron Roofing

Corrugated Iron is used as a roofing material and is typically found on sheds, barns, out-buildings and ‘lean to’s’.

Although Corrugated Iron was intended for use on temporary buildings it can end up in situ for decades remaining reasonably functional for the purpose of providing a weatherproof roof.  However it is prone to corrosion as the rust proof zinc used to galvanise the iron tends to degrade.

Surveyors conducting building surveys will look at out-buildings and comment on the state of any roofing materials including Corrugated Iron.
