Home owners and house hunters have looked into their crystal ball to predict how UK property prices will react over the 12 months.
And almost half of those who took part in a recent poll reckon house prices will rise by up to 10 percent.
Events such as Brexit are considered among the main drivers of any change in property prices, according to 43 percent of those who participated.
However, there were interesting responses when the poll's respondents were asked what they think of current house prices.
More than 41 percent of those quizzed said properties in their own area were overpriced, a feeling that was highest among those in London (57 percent), the south-east (54 percent), the south-west (52 percent) and East Anglia (50 percent).
Newbuilds a popular choice
The OnePoll survey was carried out for investment company Freehold Sale and questioned 500 people across the UK who intend to buy a home in the next five years to gauge their confidence in the property market.
A third of those polled (31 percent) are on the hunt for a newbuild with first-time buyers particularly keen on a brand-new property. A fifth of those who answered said they'd be using the Government's Help to Buy scheme to buy their first home, with 44 percent of 18-24-year- olds polled in that bracket.
With one eye on future prices, many house hunters will be looking to make their property move sooner rather than later. The expert help of Friday's Move can provide you with the essential services to make your dream move a possibility.
