Liverpool Conveyancing Solicitors offer free ID checks

Earlier this week, the online broker magazine Introducer Today highlighted that free client credit check, valuation and anti-money laundering ID report is being offered to brokers by Liverpool Conveyancing Solicitors Goldsmith Williams.

The credit check, which brokers and conveyancers alike should carry out, does not leave a footprint on the client’s credit file, identifies all loans and debts held by the client. It will also reveal any adverse credit information such as any missed payments and CCJs.

Mr Goldsmith, senior partner of the Liverpool Conveyancing firm, said: “The reports will save brokers a lot of time and prevent wasted effort, by giving them hard, factual information before they make a recommendation to a client. It’s an excellent business tool which I have no doubt will be a big hit with brokers.”

Money Laundering Regulations are designed to protect the UK financial system. Conveyancing Solicitors, mortgage brokers and estate agents are covered by the regulations and  must put in place certain controls to prevent it being used for money laundering by criminals and terrorists. These include appointing a 'nominated officer', checking the identity of customers and keeping all relevant documents. Conveyancing solicitors must report any suspicious activity to the Serious Organised Crime Agency.
